Athletics

The mission of the Athletic Department of Solomon Schechter Middle School of Long Island is to develop a passion for the game while instilling school pride, and providing an avenue for building self-esteem through athletic accomplishments. Using teamwork and dedication to overcome challenges, students develop character and learn to share successes and failures as a team.

Through their participation in athletics, students at our high school form lasting friendships and learn life-long lessons of honesty, courtesy, fair play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and service to team, school, and community.

At the end of each season the teams share their successes with an after school team party.

With expanded team offerings more students are enjoying the thrills of representing their school through teamwork in Middle School Athletics. For the 2006 - 2007 school year we offer:
