Visual and Performing Arts are renowned elements of Student Life and the Schechter LI Lower School.

Piano Instruction For ALL! - Schechter School of Long Island may be the only school in New York State at which piano instruction is given to all students, beginning in Kindergarten.  In the Annette Ostrow Music Lab, students learn to play on the piano, xylophone and percussion instruments, as well as to  site read and make musical notation.  With a dozen electric pianos equipped with multiple jacks for headsets, differentiated instruction is provided, allowing beginners and advanced students to all progress sumultaneously.

Ari-Notes – Lower School Choir - Singing to acclaim at in-school, local and national Jewish events, The Ari-Notes perform in multiple languages, including Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, Judeo-Persian, Ahmaric, and of course, English.

Broadway at Schechter – Annual Lower School Musical - Each spring, the members of the Theatre Club put on a musical production.  Recent productions have included "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," and "Annie."  And In theSpring, 2015,  "Peter Pan."

Piano Virtuoso Club - Those students interested in advancing their in-class piano instruction can join the after-school Piano Virtuoso Club.
