Parents' Association

Dear SSDS Parent,

As we approach what promises to be an exciting year at our schools, we want to take this opportunity to invite you to come aboard.

As you know, the Parents Association plays a vital role in your child’s education. The PA is a K-12 organization that not only adds financial support to the school, but also enhances your child’s curriculum by providing fun, interesting and educational programming. We work closely with the Elementary and Upper Division Principals, Dr. Leibson and Mr. Dalfen, as well as the Head of School, Rabbi Herrnson and the Board of Directors to see how we can best meet the needs of all our students.

Our goal to provide fun activities at SSDS is not only limited to our children. We also plan on providing an avenue for parents to get to know each other and to become an integral part of the Schechter family. Over the next two years we need your help in building a community in which our families feel valued and comfortable. Our school does a wonderful job of helping our children feel welcome, important and secure in their school environment. We want every parent at the school to have those same feelings.

We look forward to making the 2007–2008 school year a wonderful experience for you and your family. Please make yourself known to us and become an active member of your PA.
