Alumni & Friends
Several Schechter Alumni at our High School Alumni Luncheon, November 2007Dear Alumni, My name is Beth Weinstein-Kohler, and I am a 1985 graduate of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County. I have such fond memories of my days at Schechter, and I am proud to say that I now send my own children to SSDS! This year, SSDS is celebrating its 40th year of educational excellence and is a thriving institution with nearly 600 students enrolled in the elementary, middle and high schools. Throughout the years, many SSDS alumni have maintained a close connection with the school - participating and volunteering in fundraising activities, serving on the Board of Trustees, and even sending their own children to the school! And now, as we celebrate our history and all we have achieved as a school, we look to the future and want to reconnect with as many SSDS alumni as possible through the creation of an Alumni Association. Our Alumni Association will allow us all to reconnect with classmates and teachers and celebrate the joy of being part of the SSDS community. We also hope to establish a career/college mentoring program and will publish an online newsletter that will keep you informed on important happenings within the alumni community and throughout the school. We will also keep you abreast of upcoming events at Schechter. You don’t want to miss out on all of the exciting opportunities Solomon Schechter has to offer you. If you would like to join the Alumni Association, please visit our “Join Now” page , fill out the form and then submit. You will be added to our database to receive all correspondence regarding alumni. Looking forward to hearing from you, Beth Weinstein-KohlerBeth Weinstein-Kohler, class of ‘85 |
