Supporting an Education of Excellence

The Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County and High School of Long Island is committed to offering a dual curricular program of excellence in secular and Judaic studies. We are proud of our students’ numerous notable accomplishments and our affiliation with the Conservative Movement. Any educational endeavor of excellence is a costly undertaking.

Indeed, tuition and fees do not cover the full cost of a Jewish day school education. Nonetheless, our goal is to continue to improve and expand our program so we may graduate our students with the best possible skills to succeed in the finest colleges. The importance of guiding the future leaders of our movement and the society at large cannot be over-emphasized. Our alumni continue to be well-rounded, academically accomplished Jews who will realize their full potential as human beings and are committed to the beliefs and values we hold so dear.

Please join us in our development efforts and take advantage of this opportunity to lay down the educational blueprints for generations to come. Parents, grandparents and community members have and will continue to subsidize the operating cost of the school. In the past, donations have supported financial assistance to families demonstrating need, and allowed us to build our new physical education facility, elementary school playground, and state-of-the-art science lab among other projects. Contributions have supported class trips, tours of Israel, extra-curricular activities, religious events and holiday observances.
